Warranty Policy (Malaysia)

1-Year One-to-One Exchange Warranty

At Elala, we stand behind the quality and durability of our smart
rideable luggage and scooters. All Elala products sold in Malaysia come with a 1-year
one-to-one exchange warranty
from the date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage Includes:

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and
workmanship under normal, intended use, including:

  • Battery and charging system
  • Motor and electronic control
    system
  • Frame and structural components
  • Motherboard and internal wiring
  • Wheels, handles, and key drive mechanisms

If a verified defect occurs within the warranty period, Elala will
replace the unit or component with a new or refurbished product of equal or
better condition
, at Elala’s discretion.

What Is Not Covered:

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Damage from misuse, abuse,
    accident, or water exposure
  • Unauthorized modifications or
    repair attempts
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g.,
    scratches, tires, decals, hinges)
  • Use for rental, commercial, or
    competitive purposes
  • Loss or theft

Warranty Claim Process

All warranty claims must be made through Elala and submitted to support@elala.my. Customers are required to provide:

Proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or receipt)

Clear photos or videos showing the defect or damage

Product serial number (if applicable)

Before submitting a formal claim, you are encouraged to contact Elala
Support
at support@elala.my, as some issues may have a simple fix
that avoids the need for a claim.

Elala will not replace any part or product without first receiving and
verifying photographic or video evidence of the issue.

Shipping & Replacement Conditions

In the event that processing a warranty claim requires shipping, any
shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer
. Elala may offer discounted
shipping labels
to assist with return logistics.

During the 1-year limited warranty period, Elala will either:

  • Repair any defective frame, part, or
    unit, or
  • Replace it with the same model or the
    closest comparable model or component available.

Elala reserves the right to use scratch-and-dent or refurbished stock when replacing a unit or part under
warranty, provided the function is not affected. Final warranty decisions will
be made by an authorized Elala service technician or representative.

⚠️ Note: Elala does not cover installation or
labor fees
for repairs or replacements done by third parties or the
customer.

What's the warranty?

The warranty includes the power bank, motor, box, charger, code table / accelerator, tire, handle. Most of the warranty from the items hold up for for 1 year. Aside from tire being 15 days, and handle for 6 months. To learn more, to go to the User Manual page.

How do i charge the scooter?

Before charging the scooter, you should first check the input of the charger voltage (100-240V) is consistent with the grid voltage.

Once you're done with checking the voltage, second step is to connect the input plug of the charger unto the charging jack of the battery, finally, connecting the input of the charger to the AC power supply.

And you're set! Be sure to check the indicator when charging (red when charging, green when fully charged).

How do i maintain and care the scooter?

To care for your Elala E-Scooter, regularly wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and clean the interior with a vacuum. Check and clean the wheels and handle to ensure smooth operation. Avoid overpacking to prevent strain on zippers and seams. Store your scooter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Is the E-Scooter allowed on airplanes?

Yes. All Elala scooters are equipped with removable battery, which meets the international common airline standards. It includes America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
